Birdpaw considered what Lightfoot had said. "No, not really, because hey! I'm a cat! Not a feather."

The she-cat lapsed into a thoughtful silence, watching leaves as they waved with the wind.

For once Lightfoot didn't respond. Birdpaw mewed,"So Pumaheart, when do you think Jasmineheart's kits will be born?"
"Soon."

"It'll be fun, having kits in camp," Mistypaw said. "They're the only cats that look up to us apprentices." She giggled. "And they're fun to play with."

Pumaheart nodded and purred slightly.

"Do you like kits, Birdpaw?" Mistypaw asked, turning towards the apprentice.

Birdpaw shrugged. "They can get annoying sometimes; asking what it's like to be an apprentice and all. But altogehter they're cute and sweet. So... Yes. I like kits."
(So do you want Birdpaw and Mistypaw to have a secret relationship?)

Lightfoot watched the three's conversation. "Kits are our future. Make sure you set a good example for them, if they look up to you." She stretched her legs out in front of her, muttering. "Personally, I always looked up to Sparktail when we were kits."
(Heyy, Whir, when you gunna make Sparktail?)

Pumaheart nodded, then neaded her paws into the long grass.
Birdpaw wasn't very interested in this conversation. "Has anyone every eatten a bug before?"

Lightfoot blinked with surprise at the apprentice. "EW, no. I don't think bugs are fit for feline consumption."

Birdpaw raised an eyebrow at Lightfoot's precise word choice. "I have eatten a butterfly before. I kinda tastes like Twoleg butter..."
Pumaheart paid no attention to Birdpaw and Lightfoot's conversation.

"What's butter?" Lightfoot asked, looking thoroughly confused. "And don't most butterflies have, like, a powdery coding on their wings that are, like, sometimes toxic?"

Birdpaw raised his other eyebrow. "Well, when I was a kit a Twoleg found me wandering around outside of camp. It took me to its nest. I was kept there for a few days, and in that time I discovered what butter is. I was able to lick it a few times before the Twoleg saw me and took it away." Birdpaw shifted his weight to his other side. "I saw many other Twoleg things there too."

"Like what?" Mistypaw asked, intrigued. "I've never seen a Twoleg nest very closely..."

"Well... There are these box like things that make loud noises and they hurt my ears. And there was another box like thing and it had... images on it. They kept moving. I saw a cat moving around on it too! When I ran up to touch it, the surface was flat, and then the cat was gone and a Twoleg monster showed up on it. It made me run and hide behind this soft Twoleg thing that they sit on. I would just rather scratch it than sit on it. And then there was this white thing... There was water in it. And on the bottom was a hole. There was a little ledge thing on it and I pressed it, and WHOOOOOOSH! For a second the water was sucked into the hole at the bottom, but then new water came back into it from somewhere. I don't see a point in such a stupid thing like that. Maybe Twoleg kits play with it or something. I have no idea. I could go on forever, but I don't want to bore you." Birdpaw looked at the ground, and then looked up.
Hollystar sat up straight. "Uhhh! Do you think we should start the Gathering without Lichenstar? It's getting late, and I don't think that anything super important has to be anounced tonight. Right?" she meowed.

Pigeonstar flashed her a look. "We wait," he growled, instantly annoyed with her again. "StarClan would have it no other way."
Lightfoot, who had been staring wide-eyed at Birdpaw while he ranted, breathed out. "Wooahh...I wish I could see that second box-thing. It sounds...interesting. Maybe it's like StarClan, and sends the Twolegs messages?"

"I don't think so. Sometimes the Twoleg kits would sit in front of it and start laughing. At night the big Twolegs would sit down and look at it... I think it's more of a thing to get enjoyment from," Birdpaw meowed.
"Yeah, but look at the moon," Hollystar meowed, pointing her nose at the brightly illuminated moon. "It's already past its highest point. I guess we could wait a little while longer, but if we wait any longer the sun will start to rise."

(Okay, um...Holly? Do you know Whir's new number? 'Cuz I don't have it...If you do, could you give her a call and tell her that she's not making only you wait, but Inky's getting bored, too?)
"Oh," the she-cat said, looking around again.
Pigeonstar sighed and shook his head, not going to respond to the other leader.

"Urm...sorry I'm so late...I was waiting to give the signal when I recived a message from Spiritclan." Lichenstar said, sliding onto the rock. He flicked his tail and the rest of his clan stepped out of the bushes on the far side of the clearing, being just as confused as the other clans as to what was holding them back from going into the clearing. The deputy had taken controll 4 a bit(if dis is ok).

(There is no SpiritClan! StarClan!)
"Thank StarClan! Finally!" Rainpelt exclaimed as her Clan was lead by Lichenstar into the clearing. She sat underneath the Greatrock.
"Lichenstar! We're so glad you could make it. I'll call the Gathering together?" Hollystar meowed.
