The medicine cat smiled, and raised her front-left paw. "I've taken part in more than a few battles myself, as a matter of fact." A jagged pale line extended from her wrist, and wrapped up towards her elbow. "But, yes. Examining wounds does contribute to a big part of my knowledge."

Wolfstorm nodded, his curiousity satisfied. He twitched an ear, and made a mental note to tell Deerkit, Flowerkit, and Windkit to not cause commotions until the rest of the Clan was awake.

(Heh heh.)
The medicine cat yawned again, tucking her paws underneath her chest. "Great StarClan, this is a long night..." she mumbled, blinking up at the stars.
Pigeonstar shifted his weight casually to his other paw, not yet ready to admit that the rough stone beneath him was making his pads ache. Lichenstar better hurry up...

((*Chuckles* It's funny how you make Pigeonstar all mean in that one post and then change to Jynxivy and make her all sweet))
"Excuse me?" Hollystar meowed as she got up and straightened herself. She had had almost enough of Pigeonstar's attitude. If Lichenstar didn't arrive soon, Hollystar and Pigeonstar could start a war between their Clans. "WaterClan is not weak. The thing is is that I have been busy all day and I haven't had a chance to rest at all. Even you must sleep some of the time?" Hollystar meowed boldly. She knew she shouldn't really pick fights with an older, more experienced leader, but what other choice did she have? Make the other leaders think her Clan was weak?

Birdpaw nodded wisely, although he wasn't that wise at all. Birdpaw was starting to get tired, and if he didn't move around when he was tired, he would start to nod off. He decided to glide around the clearing. He got a running start, low to the ground, and leaped into the air. He glidded pretty far because a gust of wind blew through the clearing. Birdpaw landed, but jumped right back up to glide again.
Hollystar just turned her back to Pigeonstar so they wouldn't start fighting again and asked Brightstar, "Have I asked you: How is your Clan doing? Are there any new warriors or kits? Or apprentices?"

(Heh heh...I blame Pigeonstar for being a cranky, bitter old man. <3)
As Hollystar turned her back, the white tom's mouth twitched into a brief grin, then he turned his face outward, as if studying the Clans. However, the small spark in his eyes did not go out. I agree, Hollystar. None of us are weak. What we've faced... All of us, and our Clans, have strong hearts. he thought, for once satisfied with something that came out of the WaterClan she-cat's mouth.
Jynxivy looked up with interest as Birdpaw glided. It has always interested her in how he did it, even if he had those "wings". Then, as he made a few more leaps, the medicine cat checked the GreatRock again. "Hollystar and Pigeonstar don't seem to be getting along."

Birdpaw kept gliding.
Pumaheart snoozed, all though aware of every cat around her, and thought about what the Clan leaders might say.
Hollystar waited for a reply from Brightstar.

Brightstar, who had been lost in thought, realized that Hollystar had asked her something. "Nothing's new, really," she said. Nothing was new. Storm didn't even have anything new to chat about, and he usually had an endless supply of things to talk about. Granted, the she-cat hadn't seen her loner friend too much, but it was remarkable quiet even so.
"That gliding skill could be useful in a fight, if he learned techniques to glide without giving a clear shot at his underbelly," Wolfstorm remarked as he watched Birdpaw. "Good for hunting birds, too."

Jynxivy, thoughts brought back away from the Great Rock, nodded in agreement. "Yes, I suppose so. I wonder if it would be a hereditary trait...It's certainly a genetic mutation, I'm sure..." Her eyes grazed again over the apprentice's small frame, then began washing her paws.

Birdpaw began to get tired, so he stopped near Pumaheart. He knew her as a somewhat nice, somewhat cranky cat. Even though they were from different Clans, they were nice to each other at Gatherings. "Hi Pumaheart! How's everything in GrassClan?" Birdpaw asked.
Pumaheart had heard a cat approaching her and looked up with half closed eyes. When she saw that it was Birdpaw, a fiesty WaterClan apprentice, she opened her eyes up all the way and nodded to him. She guessed that they had formed a bond between each other because they both had similar attitudes. "Why, hello there Birdpaw. Everything is fine, although I'm not as young as I used to be. I think I'll be joining the elder's once a few more greenleave's pass."
Birdpaw was surprised that Pumaheart was actually getting old, although her spirit wasn't. "That's sad to hear," Birdpaw mewed. He settled down next to Pumaheart to chat about the smallest things.
Hollystar wasn't that surprised. Nothing much was going on in WaterClan either. She didn't really want to lie down, but she crouched on her belly with her paws tucked under her.

(Grawr. Not much to say. Lemme bring in another character.)
Dancing smoothly across the terrain, Lightfoot saw that there were many cats here whom she hadn't met yet. Keeping this in mind, she trotted over to where an apprentice and a senior warrior were talking. "Hello, Pumaheart!" she purred, having briefly talked to the she-cat once before about the stupidity of toms. "Who's your friend?"

Pumaheart had been discussing how Jasmineheart, one of the GrassClan queens, was getting close to kitting. "Hello Lightfoot. This is Birdpaw. He's a WaterClan apprentice," Pumaheart mewed calmly, although she wasn't too happy that Lightfoot had interrupted her and Birdpaw's conversation.
(Sorry, but Pumaheart is a little snotty!)
Birdpaw blushed. He liked to be mentioned to other cats. He liked any kind of praise at all in fact. "Hi," Birdpaw meowed. Then he shook his head, he senses(0.osp?) returning. Birdpaw had never been a gentle, kind cat, although he could be nice. Lightfoot had just met him and now that his first impression had been a shy, kind cat, he would be mocked for life!

The young she-cat smiled, oblivious to Pumaheart's annoyance. "It's nice to meet you, Birdpaw! I'm Lightfoot." She curled her tail over her paws as she settled herself on the ground next to them. "Speaking of kitting, Pumaheart, have you heard anything on Flowereyes lately? She's that HillClan queen, about a moon younger than me? Isn't she supposed to have her kits soon, too?"

(he he...)
"Yes, she is," Pumaheart replied.
Birdpaw just sat listening to the two she-cats.

Lightfoot sighed. "It must be great, having kits...They're, like, a symbol of the ones you love..."
(Oh my God...MAKE IT SO I STOP WANTING TO ADD "YO" TO THE END OF EVERYTHING SHE SAYS!! "Nice to meet you, yo.")

"I've had kits in my time, and yes; they are like a symbol of the ones you love, only they are not symbols. They are real." Pumaheart cringed at the thought for a moment, but then carried on. "It's the most beautiful thing; to give birth to your Clan and to give them more warriors."
Birdpaw thought for a moment, then mewed,"I would like to have kits myself one day." Then Birdpaw cursed himself. Another sign of weakness! Wanting to have kits!

(HA. Poor Birdpaw. He's been hanging around the she-cats too much, lately.)
The TreeClan she-cat turned her bright eyes on each of them. "Wow," she whispered. "You guys are inspiring." Then Lightfoot sighed, looking a little sad. "Even if I decide to have kits, though, I'm sure nobody would want their mate to be a worthless mousebrain..."

(*Weeps uncontrolablly* Poor Lightfoot!)
"Don't you say that!" Pumaheart snapped. "Don't you ever doubt yourself, or in the end what you say will come true!"
Birdpaw was prepared for Pumaheart to say something like she just did. He started to purr for some reason.
