Pigeonstar turned around, raising an eyebrow. "Whatever gave you that idea?" Casually, his yellow eyes gave Hollystar the once-over. "What are you, around forty moons? What is your definition of love, dearie?"

Wolfstorm raised his head. "I'm not sure, but there's the fresh scent of GrassClan drifting on the breeze. That may only be the scent from their territory, though," he noted.

"I got the idea when you siad you cared about someone. And love is something were two cats look out for each other and care for one another," Hollystar replied.
Rainpelt couldn't take it anymore. "LET'S GO!" she yowled.
Birdpaw wandered over to where some apprentices were talking.

"It's not always," Brightstar interjected. "Cats can look out for and care about what happens to one another without being in love." Her thoughts absently wandered to Storm. He was a good example of her point, but she didn't feel like mentioning it. Instead, she said, "Like the Clans."

(HOLLY, KEEP YER RAINPELT SHUDDERUPPINNS!"
He smirked. "Wrong, Hollystar. I did not say I cared about someone. I merely stated that not much impresses me these days." Pigeonstar narrowed his eyes, then hissed, "Like your intelligence at the moment." He knew it was risky, taking a jab at the other leader like this, but she had annoyed him with her prying questions, confident words, and utter correctness. Not many knew about Riverpaw, and he liked to keep it that way. The Clan hadn't mentioned her name since he came back from exile. There could be no way the other three leaders could know about it, or the rumors that had been flying around about him and his apprentice. His life was his own.
Jynxivy turned her head. "That sounded like Rainpelt," she said in a bored tone, blinking in the direction where she knew GrassClan was now waiting. "Lichenstar seems to want a grand entrance this evening. Of course, I wouldn't want to be late."

(Huh?)
"You aren't the brightest of all cats either, even though you are the oldest leader here!" Hollystar snapped. She never liked to be insulted. Before anymore hateful words were said, Hollystar just turned her attention to the cats below her.

Brightstar sighed. "Let's change the subject," she said, a vague hint of annoyance creeping into her voice. "Before StarClan gets angry with us for fighting."
Wolfstorm shrugged. "I think he's waited long enough," he said.

Pumaheart laid on her side. The cool grass felt good, and she liked that when she laid down, no other cat could see her.

(I was telling you to stop posting Rainpelt going, "Lyk omg c@n wi g0 n0w?/?//" It's not like Whir can HEAR you every time you do that. -_-)
Pigeonstar opened his mouth for a retort, but merely nodded at Brightstar's warning and twitched his tail, annoyed. She was right, of course. StarClan probably wouldn't be very happy with them for starting a fight over something as fickle as love.
The medicine cat nodded, and yawned. "Let's get this night over with so we can go back to bed..."

Wolfstorm nodded. "Yeah... I hope Lichenstar doesn't wait much longer so that we can start soon."
"So... how are things in GrassClan?" Brightstar asked, trying to find a safer subject.

The GrassClan leader straightened slightly and glanced at Brightstar. "We've been good. It's been easy to get by." He left it at that, returning to staring out into nothing.

"I wonder why Lichenstar is waiting so long," Hollystar meowed to either of the two leaders. She figured this would be a good time to groom herself, since she hadn't had time to after her last meal.

Brightstar yawned. "Probably trying for a dramatic entrance or something." The she-cat glanced around. "Though I think he has waited long enough."

Birdpaw looked around. No cat was coming over to him. Do I smell? Birdpaw asked himself. He padded over to Jynxivy and Wolfstorm. "Hi," he mewed to both cats.
Pumaheart was enjoying her nap, although she knew what was going on around her.
Hollystar finished grooming herself and looked around. She saw Pumaheart laying in the long grass. On the other side of the clearing, she saw Birdpaw walking up to Wolfstorm and Jynxivy. She saw many other cats in the middle of the clearing that were from different Clans and from hers. Only HillClan was missing now. I think you're going to make quite and entrance now Lichenstar. I think you can come now, Hollystar thought absent mindedly.

"Hello, Birdpaw," Wolfstorm greeted the apprentice. "How are you?" He yawned, without meaning to.
Brightstar shrugged. "Probably trying to make a dramatic entrance or something. I think he has waited long enough, personally." The white she-cat surveyed the clearing as she spoke. Her cats were spread out through the clearing, talking with friends. There were cats from the other two Clans that were there as well, and Brightstar took note of them as well. She thought that she could hear Rainpelt yowling somewhere in the direction of HillClan territory.

"No comment." humphed Pigeonstar.
The medicine cat blinked at Birdpaw a few times before saying, "Oh! Hello, there, Birdpaw...How's life?" She lay herself down on the grass, yawning as she did so. "Late night tonight. Just my luck."

(Ya know Jynxivy and Birdpaw are in the same Clan, right? It just kinda sounds funny when you said,"How's life?" when they live in the same Clan and would know what's going on with each other's lives)
"Everything's good," Birdpaw mewed. "I want to be a warrior so badly though." He started to nead his paws on the grass.
Hollystar laid down, though not in a sleeping position. She looked around at all of the cats.

"You seem... relaxed tonight," Brightstar commented as she decided to wash her snowy fur as she waited. Her green eyes flicked around the clearing, before fixing on Hollystar, waiting for her to say something.
"Every apprentice does," Wolfstorm meowed agreeably. "But I'm sure Hollystar will make you into a warrior soon."

(What, you assume that because they're in the same Clan they know what's going on with each other? Hm. That sure would've made that whole Tigerclaw/star thing a whole lot more difficult, huh? And Squirrelflight didn't know Sorreltail was going to have kits until, like, almost the next book, I think. Don't assume.)
Pigeonstar hissed with displeasure as Hollystar laid down. "This is a Gathering. What will your Clan think, when we're still sitting, but you're too exhausted to do even that? Sign of weakness there?"
(Ha. Pigeonstar's pissy tonight...)
Jynxivy smiled kindly at Birdpaw. "Yeah, it's just like Wolfstorm says. It'll be your time soon enough. But don't show you're impatience," suggested the medicine cat. "Warriors must be ready for battle, but that doesn't mean they always have to jump into it. Know what I mean?"

Brightstar nodded, agreeing with Pigeonstar. But if Hollystar was just relaxing because she thought her Clan was stronger than the others... well, Hollystar was badly mistaken there. Brightstar flexed her claws as she thought this.
Wolfstorm nodded, agreeing with everything that Jynxivy had just said. "Do you say this from looking at the cat's wounds? Or just from common sense?" he asked, actually curious and not joking around for a change.
