"I do not wish to go," Cinderheart replied. "Though the idea sounds interesting, I do not want to go on the initial mission."
Foxstar nodded in agreement. "It's the same with me," he said.

Witheredstar was disappointed--not because he thought either tom was particularly good for the job, exactly--all the cats here, except himself and Crookedtears, of course, were mousebrains--but because it would have gotten Snowstar to shut her yap (hint hint, Holly....) "Fine." He turned to the impatient female. "If you would like to get going, Snowstar, you are welcome to find our fourth."

Arcticfeather, who was still sitting next to her mate, shrugged. "We don't have to leave right away," she pointed out softly. "We could always come up with a better plan of attack than 'Let's jump through the Black Pool and take over the Clans!' It's always good to have a well-thought plan before you go jumping into things." Her eyes glinted, and her mouth twisted into a smirk as she thought about a plan of hers that had worked very well... the plan that had given Foxstar his name as a leader...

(We don't have a fourth cat yet)
Snowstar snorted. It was almost as if Arcticfeather had sensed her impatience and just wanted to make her suffer. "I know Hollystar. I know what I can do. I have been spying on her and the rest of her Clan ever since I got here. I will stay among the shadows, for as long as a spirit is in the shadows, it cannot be seen. When night falls, I will possess Hollystar and that job will be done. When the other three cats have done the same to their leaders, Witheredstar can come down himself and rule the whole forest. You would be supreme leader. And the four of us would be sub-leaders. Is that good enough?"

"How do you possess the leaders? I've never heard of it being done," Arcticfeather asked smoothly.

"You'd just have to jump into them and fight back their... Ummm.... Them. You'd be in their body, but you'd have to fight back their spirit. You can only be in them for... A while... Maybe a few days? Or as long as you're able to fight them back."

Arcticfeather gave Snowstar a cold stare. "That's not very exact," she muttered.
Foxstar rested his tail on his mate's shoulder. "Don't critisize Snowstar too much," he murmured in her ear.

Snowstar's tail tapped the ground, waiting for some cat to approach or for Witheredstar to say something.

Cinderheart watched the debate between the two she-cats without much intrest. He stretched, and vanished into the forest without a word.

Witheredstar rolled his eyes up, muttering something in an annoyed tone. Then he glowered at the two she-cats. "Their "Them", as Snowstar calls it, is much like their spirit, their...conscience, if you will. When you enter their body, even if they are sleeping, their body will reject it. It is much like your body fighting off infection. You will have to fight to keep your own spirit in them, and keep their conscience down. "There will be times when they know what is going on, and try to slip back into being in control. If this happens successfully, you will be pushed out, and your spirit will be weaker. It will be harder to keep control the next time you posses someone. "Having two spirits in a body at once...can get very stressful," he recited, mouth curling slightly into a smirk, knowing he was just repeating his fool-of-a-mother's words. "Both spirits will slowly diminish, and the body, too, will take a toll. You will not sleep. You can barely eat, for that raises the other cat's conscience, as well. Neither soul can be extinguished," he shot each cat a long stare, "but when the body finally breaks...There is no chance of both of you surviving. One of you--it is quite random, I assure you--will not be able to hold out in the light." The got up, stretched, and curled his tail over his feet as he settled again. "Any questions?"
(Yay. Making stuff up is FUN. Is this an acceptable explanation, Holly?)

(Uhhh, I was just thinking that they could keep trying to get back in, but they would become weaker and weaker until they had to go back to DemonClan for a long time... I wasn't thinking that one of them would die. How could the DemonClan cat die? He's already dead, but I wouldn't think his spirit would be lost forever.)
"I wouldn't think..." Snowstar began. "But it's still so simple! Jump into them when you're strong and ready and hold them back. I think you could stay in them for a few days. The cat themself would be exhausted from trying to fight back, so that would give you the advantage."
(We still need someone to be the fourth cat!)

"Yes, Snowstar, but you yourself are being exhausted as well," hew commented.
(Well, not DIE. I wouldn't be so extreme. Their body "breaks", leaving it, like, insanely weak, and barely inhabitable. The DemonClan cat, it to be the one diminished, would be pushed further into the Dark Forest, but will eventually find their way back to the camp if they're determined, which all of the four cats are, anyways. If the living cat is "crushed by the light", they are left mentally unstable. This shouldn't happen to any of the cats, though, because they won't be in there for too long.)
(Annnnd...Who will lead the banished parts of the Clans? The deputies?)

(You're making it sound as if they have two bodies. There is only one spirit. The living cat can't be crushed by anything, atleast I wouldn't think so. They would just be very exhausted from trying to push the DemonClan cat away. But if they give up and save their energy, they might at some point push the DemonClan cat out of their body)
"Not when they fight back! I'd be strong when they first try to fight back. After a while they'll have to rest and in that time I'll get strong again."
(I don't know. Maybe they would. I do know that the DemonClan cats don't let them have their Medicine Cats)

Arcticfeather looked at Snowstar. "You'd be fighting their spirit at the same time, so you'll get weaker as the two spirits fight. They would be clever enough to realize that if they stop to rest, you will gain control. Unless they're complete mousebrains," she said.

"But they have to rest at some point." Snowstar was getting very impatient, and annoyed. She wondered if that was a trait Hollystar had as well. Up until they were apprentices, Snowstar had been best friends with Hollystar, but after that she had wanted nothing to do with her. Therefore she had never asked if she got annoyed easily. She silently cursed everyone that was trying to hold her back from jumping into the pool.

"They would fight until their spirit was exhausted," Arcticfeather snapped. "Do you think that Clans would choose leader that are as stupid as a mouse? They would try and cast you out of their body until their spirit can fight no more. And by that time, you would either win or have to retreat and recover."
Foxstar watched in silence. He said quietly, "You two will never stop arguing about this, since neither of you can be proved right until after the battle is over. We should focus more on finding a fourth cat than bickering over why or why not someone might stop to rest."

"Yes, I know. So we should rest up, and when we're feeling as good as we're ever going to feel we attack. The advantage here is that they will never expect it; we know what we're doing. They've never experienced something like this before. They won't know what's happening or why. They won't now how to react, and all they'll know is that something's happening in which the world arround them is becoming blurry and that they feel as if they're being pushed out of they're own body. Then, while they're recovering, we will be recovering as well. We will be expecting them to try and fight back sooner or later, even though not knowing exactually when, but we'll know what to do when they try. They might know what's going on, but like I said before: They've never experienced something quite like this before." Snowstar looked around. "And I agree with you. We should be looking for a fourth cat!"

"Does anyone have any recommendations? Ideas?" Arcticfeather asked. Her ice-blue eyes swept over the other cats. "No? Well, I suppose we'll think of someone... or maybe some cat will happen to show up..." She fell silent, her eyes still searching the clearing for a rustling fern, a paw stepping from the shadows, a cat from HillClan that would come to solve this problem.

Shadowpelt awakened in her den, which was the one farthest from where all the other Demonclan cats were. She wandered around outside, wondering where everyone else was. She then heard voices and followed them to where everyone else was. Shadowpelt wandered in, clueless as to what was going on. She realized there was a meeting of some sort going on. "Am I interrupting anything?" She questioned.
