The grey she-cat jumped in surprise as Leafpaw's annoyed voice, and turned to see her pouting friend. "I'm sorry, Leafpaw..." she meekly apologized, shuffling her paws. "I was...distracted."The tortoiseshell gave her a suspicious glare, then checked around the area. "Ah," she muttered smugly. "So. You actually were distracted this time."Ears burning with embarrassment, Featherpaw followed her friend's gaze. She was startled to find Leafpaw knew exactly what--or who--she had been daydreaming about. Fidgeting, she mumbled. "Oh, shut up, Leafpaw..."Smirking, Leafpaw settled next to her friend. "Don't flake out on our training appointments, then!"[/ul]

Ironwhisker awoke with pain in his left ear. He let out a low mew of discontent, but got to his paws and stretched, trying to ignore the stinging sensation. He had been on the moonhigh patrol, and he had caught his ear on a thorn bush, not paying attention due to being tired from a full day of hunting. For a moment he thought he should go have it looked at, but he decided against it, since he had better things to do. Stepping from his nest in the warrior's den, he made his way out into the main part of camp. Most of the camp was already awake, going about their business.
He spotted some apprentices, and decided he'd go chat with them to help wake himself up fully. He padded over slowly, and flicked an ear at the pair. "Hello. How are we today?"

the tortoiseshell purred, sitting and curling her tail across her paws. She tilted her head lightly, blinking wide, curious eyes. Her friend was a tad slower in her greeting, dragging her eyes away from the ground and nodded towards to the tom. She let out a sort of grumbled, "Mnrph...Nr," which earned her a raised eyebrow from the older apprentice. Featherpaw frowned back, then sighed and got to her feet, shaking out her coat. "Er, sorry. Hi."[/ul]

Ironwhisker nodded twice at Leafpaw, and mewed out, "Yes. And you?" He let out a small friendly smile, which dissappeared as Featherpaw replied. He tilted his head at her. "You okay?" His first though was that maybe she hadn't gotten enough sleep, but she just sounded... Sad. Very disappointed, or something. Perhaps.. Distracted? But with the distraction was a certain tinge of melancholia... He shook his head to try to clear it. He was thinking way too hard. Well, perhaps not... But it was none of his business. His whiskers twitched a bit in irritation at that. He wanted to help his clan. But nobody wanted to let him in on what was going on. If only he was deputy... He would be looked up to. More cats would know his name. They would ask him for guidance. Gingerstar would ask him for advice... But, alas! He wasn't deputy... Yet. (*SCARY MUSIKZ*... Lol. Not really.) He sighed a little on the inside. These thoughts aren't good to have! Rainpelt is a great deputy. You probably couldn't do better if you tried. He thought to himself, then sighed again, and tried to turn his attention back to Featherpaw.

Eagle-eyes saw the group, and approached, them, slowly. He stared at them for a moment, then settled down, and said, mildly, "Hello."
