"She's probably the right age...And I should do something leader-like to be a believable Pidgy-whatsit.Now to find her mentor...Her heart committed emotional suicide as she realized it was Pumaheart. Great...Sighing, Crookedtears padded over to the old warrior, ears perked. "You think it's time for Mistypaw's assessment?" she asked in the unfamiliar voice of GrassClan's leader.[/ul]

She had been planning just one or two more sessions, just to get everything set in Mistypaw's mind before she became a warrior. Apparently, that wasn't going to happen. Pumaheart had always been one of the best mentors. Either that was because she was a senior warrior, or because she spent just a little longer than necessary training her apprentices. Either way, they always became the best. They made her proud. Usually the impatient parents or friends or even the apprentices themselves would forget about them having to wait the extra week or so. They would come to thank Pumaheart, and they would respect her wisdom. Now it was happening again, and Pumaheart was just hoping that Mistypaw was ready enough to meet up to her standards. Pumaheart sighed, then looked up to her leader with a certain kind of love in her eyes. "Pigeonstar, you've known me long enough to know that when my apprentices are ready, I will tell you." She smiled, then flicked his ear playfully with her tail. "Just one more session. That's all I ask."[/ul][/ul]

Although, she supposed, she wasn't technically GrassClan's leader. As far as everyone else was concerned, however, she owned their souls. "We all know your apprentices turn out to be...splendid warriors," Crookedtears continued, gagging on the inside at her words. "And I'm sure Mistypaw is ready. If you wanted to get another session in, I suggest doing it soon. Mistypaw will make a fine addition to our ranks."[/ul]

She got up, but then looked back at him. She supposed that it would be useless for her to spill her problems out on him when he was acting like this. Maybe when he was back to normal. "Oh Pigeonstar, if only you knew how much we need it." If Pigeonstar was really himself, he would understand the meaning behind her words. If not, then he might just think that she was talking about how much they needed a new warrior, Mistypaw, among the ranks of their warriors. [/ul][/ul]
