Mistypaw bounded across the snow, amber eyes glittering with glee. Behind her raced Coyotepaw, a more somber expression in his eyes. He had never been comfortable around the easily excitable she-cat, and felt even more out of place around her.
With a smile, Mistypaw skidded to a halt, accidentally sliding across a bit of ice that coated the snow. She regained her balance, laughing a little.
"Let's hunt here!" She twitched an ear. "I'll hunt over there, and you can hunt-"
"There's no prey here," Coyotepaw interrupted.
"Well, you may be right, StarClan knows how hard it is to find prey in leafbare, but it won't do us any harm to check, will it?"
"Why waste our time? There's no prey here. Let's keep going." Once Coyotepaw had made up his mind, there was little chance of ever changing it. He was dead set on not hunting here.
Mistypaw let out a little, almost annoyed-sounding laugh. "Oh, come on, Coyotepaw, let's just check around. Won't hurt us, will it?"
"No, let's not waste time! Prey is hard to find, like you just pointed out."
"Look, Coyotepaw, stop being so... so... inflexible! Would it kill you to take two minutes to look around and make sure there really is no prey before you rule out the possibility?" Mistypaw raised an eyebrow and frowned.
"I am not being inflexible," Coyotepaw said, glaring. "I'm just trying to find some prey."
"And now you're being grouchy. Come on, Coyotepaw, just look around with me? And then we can hunt where you want."
Coyotepaw's frown deepened. "I am not being grouchy. And why can't we just move on?"
"We're wasting time, Coyotepaw. Now, stop being grouchy and help me look around."
"Stop acting like... like... like you're my mother!" Coyotepaw winced at the words, even though he spoke them.
Mistypaw, who was more than a little annoyed by now, snapped, "I can't act like your mother, because neither of us knows what she acts like because-" Her mouth snapped shut suddenly, as she caught Coyotepaw's expression- horror, a twist of sorrow- and then anger.
"Don't think this will be forgotten," he hissed. Then he turned and raced away.
Would you mind if I hurt you
Understand that I need to
Wish that I had other choices
Than to harm the one I love
Understand that I need to
Wish that I had other choices
Than to harm the one I love
With a smile, Mistypaw skidded to a halt, accidentally sliding across a bit of ice that coated the snow. She regained her balance, laughing a little.
What have you done now?
"Let's hunt here!" She twitched an ear. "I'll hunt over there, and you can hunt-"
I know I'd better stop trying
You know that there's no denying
I won't show mercy on you now
You know that there's no denying
I won't show mercy on you now
"There's no prey here," Coyotepaw interrupted.
I know I should stop believing
I know that there's no retrieving
It's over now
What have you done?
I know that there's no retrieving
It's over now
What have you done?
"Well, you may be right, StarClan knows how hard it is to find prey in leafbare, but it won't do us any harm to check, will it?"

"Why waste our time? There's no prey here. Let's keep going." Once Coyotepaw had made up his mind, there was little chance of ever changing it. He was dead set on not hunting here.
I, have been waiting for someone like you
But now you are slipping away
What have you done now?
But now you are slipping away
What have you done now?
Mistypaw let out a little, almost annoyed-sounding laugh. "Oh, come on, Coyotepaw, let's just check around. Won't hurt us, will it?"
Why? Why does faith make us suffer?
There's a curse between us
Between me and you
There's a curse between us
Between me and you
"No, let's not waste time! Prey is hard to find, like you just pointed out."
What have you done
What have you done now
What have you done
What have you done now
What have you done now
What have you done
What have you done now
"Look, Coyotepaw, stop being so... so... inflexible! Would it kill you to take two minutes to look around and make sure there really is no prey before you rule out the possibility?" Mistypaw raised an eyebrow and frowned.
Would you mind if I killed you?
Would you mind if I tried to cause you hell?
Cause you have turned into my worst enemy
You carry hate that I feel
It's over now
What have you done?
Would you mind if I tried to cause you hell?
Cause you have turned into my worst enemy
You carry hate that I feel
It's over now
What have you done?

What have you done
What have you done now
What have you done now
What have you done
What have you done now
"Stop acting like... like... like you're my mother!" Coyotepaw winced at the words, even though he spoke them.
I will not fall
Won't let it go
We will be free
When it ends
Won't let it go
We will be free
When it ends

There's a curse between us
