He frowned, then continued, "When you were a kit, I was an apprentice. When you were an apprentice, I was a warrior. Huh."[/ul]

nice, but... The ginger and tan tom exhaled deeply and flicked his tail, eyes focused hard on his paws in front of him.[/ul]

She decided to keep her thoughts to herself, as it'd probably cause some unwanted controversy. Instead, she would playfully irritate the tom a bit more, and gaze up at the clear night sky once again.[/ul]

Sandhorse sighed again, flicking his tail. "I guess I'm not very good company," he ventured pointedly.[/ul]

Rainstripe replied with a bit of a giggle, "In fact, I kind of like talking to you. You understand me quite well." Rainstripe smiled and flicked her tail toward the moon. "I guess we've been talking for a while. Look how far the moon has moved" She pointed out randomly, changing the subject.[/ul]

the warrior muttered, watching the large silver sphere's progress. "I guess we have. It's strange, though--I'm still really wired..."Sandhorse smiled a little--it was good she liked to talk to him, because he enjoyed her company as well. He figured he should tell her that--but she seemed pretty focused on the night sky. Almost absently, he rolled onto his back--a motion that inadvertently brought him closer to Rainstripe.[/ul]

Rainstripe gave a o.o face in her mind again by Sandhorse's latter action, but smiled and fidgeted a little. She scratched behind her ear and scooted closer to Sandhorse cleverly in the process.[/ul]

he asked, head tilting to stare up at her silver-striped face with wide blue eyes. (His eyes, not hers. Lol.)[/ul]

((Actually her eyes are green xD)) She replied happily. "How've you been doing with Windpaw's training?" She asked and used Sandhorse's question again for no good reason.[/ul]

(DID YOU NOT READ WHAT AH SAID?! *pimpsmacks* HIS EYES, NOT HERS.) He felt like rolling back over onto his stomach, but was fairly comfortable where he was--plus he could see the stars easily. "The four of us should all get together and train. It'd be great."[/ul] (WE TOTALLY SHOULD.)

((I AGREE, WE TOTALLY SHOULD. If Dever actually gets his inactive butt over here D< )) Rainstripe remembered her days as Rainpaw, training with a younger and less serious Haloheart. Good times, good times...[/ul]

Sandhorse continued, finally rolling back onto his stomach because his head was beginning to hurt. "And let them have a race to see who catches more prey!"[/ul]

Rainstripe said, nodding slowly and smiling. "Or even practice fishing! Since they're in WaterClan and all...It's probably a precious skill to know how to fish right off the shore." She suggested.[/ul]

he conceded, grinning at her. "And then you'll steal the fish they catch and eat them--then judge on who caught the best tasting, not the most." He was teasing her, but it was a light-hearted, friendly tease.[/ul]

Rainstripe smelled the air randomly. She giggled a bit and meowed, "Water smells nice from up here." She peered over the edge of the island and looked down at the churning waters below the two. She laid down on her belly and rested her head on her paws.[/ul]

he agreed, voice soft. Sandhorse rose to his feet, padding over to her to gaze out across the gentle ripples for himself. His blue eyes glittered, and he felt a rush of pride for his Clan. The sudden, strong emotion enticed a light purr, and he settled near Rainstripe. Their pelts brushed briefly, static passing as Sandhorse stretched forward and dipped a paw into the lapping water, a tender spark bright in his eyes. The tom couldn't think of anything to say--the sudden seriousness coming over him had robbed him of any words, but had also left a comfortable silence behind. Even the kit in him had quieted, soothed by the peaceful thoughts and home-like scent of WaterClan.[/ul]

He was certainly an emotional being. Haloheart peered throughout the camp, seeing if anybody else was up. "Either my eyesight has gone to StarClan, or I just can't freakin' see ANYBODY." He ever-so-quietly mewed to himself. As he looked around aimlessly, he saw a pair of silhouettes by the shore. Being the curious soul he was, he got up, dodging the other cats bodies and started down towards them, maybe striking a friendly conversation with his Clanmates. Rainstripe sneaked a quick glance at Sandhorse and saw the happiness exposed from his emotions. She wished she could tell him... that, but there was something...physically stopping her. Rainstripe opened her jaws and scented the air. Someone's coming..She shoved that feeling aside and couldn't hold her troubled thoughts in anymore. "Uh, Sandhorse..I've wanted to tell you this for a while now, but--""Hey, guys!" Haloheart padded near his Clanmates and sat down. Rainstripe lowly growled in disgust. How bad of timing...and how cliche could you possibly get...[/ul]
