"HoHO! I'm not going under it!" He sat down next to it as a flash of lightning lit up the sky. A few seconds later the earth trembled as the thunder rumbled. "So, you can stop being excited, `cause you're never gonna win!"

Rae laughed. "I can stay here through four or five storms! I've been out in storms far worse than this." It was true. The she-cat had been in storms worse than this one before she had been adopted.

"Yeah? But have you been through a Tornado?" Bobo asked. When Bobo had been a kit, he had been abanded by his rogue mother when a Tornado had hit. He had been scared for his life, but he wasn't going to tell Rae that. After the storm he had managed to scratch on the door of the nearest Twoleg house, and the Twolegs had heard him and taken him in.

"A tornado?" Rae blinked. "I bet I could sit through one, though I've never been in one before. Have you ever sat all of the way through a tornado?"

"You couldn't be able to sit through one! Even the strongest, heaviest, and bravest cat in the entire world wouldn't be able to sit through one! You'd be blown away before you could yell Help. And what did I just say? I've been in a Tornado before! . . . . . . . Hey; do you even know what a Tornado is?" Bobo flinched as the ground shook from another boom of thunder.
(Just so you know, he's not mocking Rae. He's talking about all cats in general)

"I know what a tornado is-- it's a giant funnel of wind stretching from the clouds to the ground. And if you've been through a tornado, why can't I go through a tornado?" Rae asked, her eyes narrowing.

(you took it the wrong way! He was saying that cats in general couldn't sit through tornados!)

Then the rain turned colder and colder, until it came down as snow. Brrrrrrrr! It was a blizzard. "Let's see if you can stand through this!" Bobo yowled over the pounding winds.

(Yeah, but I go to according to what's happening in the real world, and besides: it's fun)
Bobo sat shivering. Snow started to cover the ground.

Rae shook some snow out of her eyes, and said, "A blizzard, eh? I've never sat through a blizzard before."
((And... she's just kind of touchy. Rae takes a lot of things the wrong way.))

"Stupid furball," Bobo muttered under his breath. He shifted a bit before walking over to his bench once again.

Rae sat where she was, watching the snow fall. She batted at one, then turned and looked at Bobo. "Do you like snow?" she asked.

Rae shugged. "Just curious."

Bobo padded over to a snow bank and dug out a little hole. "And just so you know," he yowled. "I challenged you to see who could stay out here the longest." He tunneled deeper and deeper until it was dark in his tunnel and warm. Then he peeked his head out again. "Don't you even dare to copy me."

"Why on Earth would I want to copy you? I can think of my own ideas," Rae said with a roll of her eyes. She shook some snow out of her eyes, and glanced at a pine tree. She walked over to the tree, and climbed it. Perching on a branch, she looked down at Bobo. "See? I don't need to copy your dumb ideas."
((And... how can it be warm in snow?))

(If you dig a hole, and sleep in there, your body heat will warm a small area.)

Bobo gave a, Hmf! and climbed back into his hole. "She'll never make it up there," he grumbled. A branch could break. With all the snow, there's even more of a chance it'll break. Or she'll freeze. Don't know how she thought she could get anywhere by climbing higher in a tree." He pondered over the thought for a few more moments before he curled into a ball and closed his eyes. "At least I'll be able to sleep through it," he mumbled before he drifted off...
