Bobo was stretched across the fresh cut grass underneath one of the benches. He calls it his bench, but it really isn't. A butterfly was flickering in his ear. "Blah!" he meowed as he swatted it away. "Those darned butterflies. Can't get a good nap with em flyin` around." He got up. BUMP. He had forgotten that he was underneath the bench and had bumped his head on it. "!$@#*#&@#&$%#@&^&%$^^@!" Bobo slinked out from under his bench and trotted over to the fountain. And then he saw her. Another she-kitty. At the prime of life and looking gorgous. "Well, well, well," he meowed, but the other cat said nothing as she looked into the fountain, grooming her ears. He came over and sat down next to her. "Why, hello there," Bobo meowed. She looked around and hissed. "Get away from me! I've heard about you, so get away!" Bobo looked away. "Wow. I'm that popular that cats are talkin` bout me." When he looked back at her she clawed his ear and zoomed away. "Wait! You didn't even tell me where you live!" He sighed, smiled, and trotted back over to his bench.

Rae was wandering in the park, somewhat bored. She was looking for something to do, but she wasn't succeeding in her search. She jumped up onto a bench, and sat there, wondering what she could do.

"Hey! This is my bench!" Bobo yowled from underneath the bench, looking up at the introduer.

"Really? I don't see your name on it," Rae shot back.

"Oooo. Ohhh. You want some of this?" Bobo got out from underneath his bench. "You don't even know my name. And you probably don't even know how to read, do you? Well, as a matter of fact I do!"

Rae leapt lightly down from the bench. "I don't know your name, but there isn't anything scratched on the wood where I could see it," she said, her voice full of confidence.

"Yeah? Well how about underneath it?! That's where I always go, so it might be under there! Go, look!" Bobo smiled, knowing that his name was scratched there, but not as good as he would have wanted it.

"What's your name?" Rae asked. "Otherwise I might miss it." She smirked, hoping that she his name wouldn't be too complicated, because she wouldn't be able to read it if it was.

"Ummm..." He didn't want to say his name; he rarely told the she-cats because it was such a stupid name. But yet if she could read, and he said a different name, she would say that the name Bobo was there, but that name wasn't. "Bobo."

Rae smirked. "Bobo?" She was glad that it wasn't a hard name to spell, but she hid her relief. "Alright, then." She slid under the bench, and saw it scratched on the wood. Grimacing, Rae slipped out from under the bench. "Fine. Your name is there."

"I always knew it was a good idea to label my property," Bobo meowed to himself. "Anyways, now you know that this is my bench, and I hope now that you won't be bothering me here." He stretched, showing his muscles, and then turned back to Rae.

"Whatever," Rae said, and strolled away to the fountain, where she sat, flicking her tail across the water. She still watched Bobo out of the corner of her eye.

"Hmmm... Boy, is she a fiesty little bugger!" Bobo meowed to himself, before turning back to his bench. He watched her as he lay in the shade. He started to doze off, but as soon as he did the sun disappeared behind some dark clouds. Bobo blinked his eyes open, and then thought of something. He smiled, and then trotted over to Rae. "I bet you, that you can't stay here with me through this whole storm," he challenged. He usually spent the nights away from his Twolegs, and only went to them for food and for shelter when things got really ruff outside. He was used to storms, and he knew that he could win. But yet this was a different kind of she-cat; who knew what she had up her sleave. "Hey, I never caught your name."

"You didn't catch it because I didn't tell you what it was," Rae said. "It's Rae, by the way. Oh, and I'll take you up on that bet. It's only a little rainshower."

Just as Rae said those words, a loud boom of thunder roared and the ground shook. "Oh yeah! It's just a little rainshower, isn't it?" Bobo retorted. Just then it got darker. Bobo looked into the distance and he saw the rain falling, and it was getting closer and closer, until it started to fall from overhead and Bobo was soaked. Lightning lit up the sky.

Rae shrugged off the rain. "As I said, just a little rain. Nothing big." She glanced at the fountain. "Though I am going to get away from this fountain. I don't want to get hit by lightening."

"Lightning, my butt!" Bobo started wobbling around on the edge of the fountain. "Ohhh, save me from the lightning! I don't know how I can escape it! It's coming to get me!" Bobo meowed in a sqeaky voice. "Did you know that lightning hardly ever strikes?" By now Bobo was completely soaked, and he looked quite rediculous.

"If you han't noticed, there's some thunder and lightening out there. Trees and water attract lightening," Rae said. "Of course, you wouldn't know that, 'cause you're obviously an idiot!" She snickered, and sat down on the wet grass a few feet away from the fountain.

Bobo ran over to her. "Oh yeah? But can an idiot read? I think not! But yet you can't read, can you? So who's the idiot now?" For fun, he leapt ontop of Rae, nocking her over, and ran off to his bench.

"Running to shelter, are you?" Rae called. "I guess I win the bet, then!" She smirked, avoiding Bobo's other question, because then she'd have to admit that she couldn't read too well.
