Name: Lorelei
Gender: She-cat
Age: 26 Moons
Rank: n/A
Clan: Kittypet
Picture:
Physical Description: White, shorthaired fur. Her fur is light gray on one of her front paws, and the tip of her tail is a slightly darker gray. Her eyes are an unusual light blue, but she is not deaf (unlike some white cats with blue eyes). She is petite, and slim for a kittypet. Her nose is a light pink.
Personality: Lorelei is a rather shy, skittish cat. The only cat she was ever comfortable around was her brother. She has always been the quiet one, and the one who doesn't take risks, or do anything without thinking about it. This makes her always seem a bit belated, and some people mistake her shyness and caution for stupidity, but in reality, Lorelei is quite clever. She just is uncomfortable around other people.
History: Lorelei was born a kittypet. Her mother's owners sold her and her brother to a family with a daughter and a son. The girl named Lorelei what she did because she was very into unicorns and magic, and had recently read a book with a unicorn called Lorelei in it, and the name had struck her as pretty. Lorelei was coaxed into exploring the forest with Draco one summer day, and they ran into some Clan cats. Having seen Draco hunting, they thought that Lorelei and Draco would make good Clan cats, and invited them to try being apprentices. Draco had quickly accepted, and begged Lorelei into accepting as well. Lorelei became Crystalpaw, and Draco became Dragonpaw. Crystalpaw did well enough as an apprentice until her first battle. She was terrified, and sickened by the idea of hurting another cat. Immediatly after that battle, Crystalpaw told the Clan leader that she couldn't be a Clan cat and returned to her kittypet life. Her housefolk were delighted to see Lorelei, and welcomed her back with open arms. Since then, her brother has become a warrior of his Clan and still comes to visit Lorelei on occasion.
In Character (IC): "I can't do it. I can't fight, Dragonpaw. I guess you could say that I'm a pacifist," Crystalpaw said.
"It was your first battle," Dragonpaw said, his tone pleading. "You'll do better next time. You'll be able to fight then- it was probably just nerves or something. Please, Crystalpaw, don't leave the Clan because of this one litttle thing!"
Crystalpaw shook her head. "It's not a little thing, Dragonpaw. I can't bring myself to harm another cat. It makes me sick to my stomach. I can hunt just fine, but I can't fight unless it's a mock battle."
"Please, Crystalpaw!" Dragonpaw begged. "It was probably nerves or something-"
"No, Dragonpaw. You should probably start calling me Lorelei again. Fighting is a huge part of Clan life, and I can't fight. This isn't what I was cut out for. I'm much better at being a housecat than being a warrior. I'm sorry, but I have to leave," Lorelei said. She turned, and padded out of the den.
Lorelei could tell that Dragonpaw was upset about her descion, but it was one that she had to make. She couldn't fight, and she couldn't be a warrior. But she could watch Dragonpaw become a great warrior from the sidelines, and that's what she intended to do. With a tiny nod, Lorelei started to run for home.
Other: Lorelei doesn't have a mate, and she's far too shy to ever strike up a conversation with toms.
