Okay, everyone wants to make a cat that is 18 moons.... or somewhere around that! First of all, moons is not the same thing as years; we all know that! But when you say 60 moons it seems so old.... It's only 5 years! Cats can live up to 38 years in captivity so we'd probably take off a few years since we're mostly wildcats! I am sick and tired of seeing people creating characters that are barely over 1 year old! Okay?
If you don't feel like calculating particular ages; here is a handy-dandy little list that you can look at.
Kits
Apprentices
Warriors/Queens
Elders
Newborn= 0 moons Eyes are closed and they can't hear very well; the most they can 'talk' is a squeal
1 month= 1 moon Ears are fully open and often make them look funny because they're disproportionate to their body. Eyes are typically still shut
2 months= 2 moons Eyes are open and blue by this milemarker. They can move around a bit, but not fully walk
3 months= 3 moons Their limbs are building up muscles as they explore around the Nursery.
4 months= 4 moons They are now big enough to take adventures into the center of the camp; their bodies are begining to look proportionate with their ears.
5 months= 5 moons With a patrol of warriors, a litter may be able to leave the camp to explore and play.
6 months= 6 moons Fully functional cat about half-way grown! Eyes should be fading away from blue and begining to shade into the color that they'll have for the rest of their life.
6 months= 6 moons Still very playful and excited to get out of the Nursery and into their own den; cats this age are typically less coordinated than other apprentices
7 months= 7 moons Should know the warrior code by heart; are not allowed to battle yet
8 months= 8 moons Begin to learn the hunter's crouch and rules of hunting
9 months= 9 moons Practice hunting; typically when the eyes have settled into their permanent color
10 months= 10 moons Practice hunting; should be fully grown, may fight if camp is attacked.
11 months= 11 moons Can begin strength training; climbing trees is good practice and so is running
1 year= 12 moons Hunting should be down pat; and now you can advance to fighting
13 months= 13 moons Many new techniques of fighting should be learned and understood
14 months= 14 moons Can begin venturing out and trying 'new moves'
15 months= 15 moons Some apprentices are ready to be warriors by 15 moons, but that doesn't mean every single cat is!
16 months= 16 moons Fighting should be practiced just about daily.
17 months= 17 moons Should be adapting to less training sessions and time with their mentor; should know just about everything they need
1.5 years= 18 moons Congratulations; you've made it through apprenticeship and are now a fully-trained warrior of your Clan!
1.5 years= 18 moons Well, you've made it to 'warrior' status! Think that means you have a say in Clan life--wrong! You're still the newest warrior and have absolutely no rank in the food-chain.
2 years= 24 moons You've been a warrior for at least 6 moons now-- can you boss around other warriors? Well, perhaps the youngest and newest...
2.5 years= 30 moons Congratulations! You've been a warrior for a full year now! But you still don't get much leeway and you don't get to slack off on your duties!
3 years= 36 moons A year and a half has passed since your warrior ceremony and many new warriors have probably been made. You still don't have seniority yet? Nope! There won't be no one older than you for QUITE a while
3.5 years= 42 moons Typically you've got a bit of authority in the hearts of others. Apprentices should be given by this age if they're ever to get one.
4 years= 48 moons Well, you're just might be a hero to the rest of the Clan
4.5 years= 54 moons Experience and at least one apprentice trained
5 years= 60 moons Ah.... the 'big six-oh' are you feeling your bones creak yet? NO! You have plenty of time left on this green earth!
5.5 years= 66 moons Congratulations--you're still alive and haven't been killed by some terrible disease or enemy Clan yet!
6 years= 72 moons
6.5 years= 78 moons
7 years= 84 moons
7.5 years= 90 moons
8 years= 96 moons
8.5 years= 102 moons
9 years= 108 moons
9.5 years= 114 moons
1 decade= 120 moons Your bones may ache when you wake up now, so be careful to stretch before you do anything!
10.5 years= 126 moons
11 years= 132 moons
11.5 years= 138 moons
12 years= 144 moons If you've lived this long, you're well on your way to being an elder buddy!
12.5 years= 150 moons
13 years= 156 moons
13.5 years= 162 moons Enjoy your last days as a warrior!
14 years= 168 moons You've joined the Elders, have the authority to boss anyone around but the High ranks and be grumpy all the time!
14.5 years= 174 moons I bet you've had a fun 6 moons doing absolutely nothing--didn't you? Well buckle up because that's as fast as your life will go!
15 years= 180 moons More than likely you're dead, unless you're still ripe
20 years= 240 moons You're a lucky little kitty if you're reached this age. Expect the Grim Reaper any day now
30 years= 360 moons You'll probably never live this long, but hey! It's possible!
40 years= 480 moons No wildcat would probably live this long, but if you're a kittypet with loving owners, you just might hit this mark
