Hollystar, leader of WaterClan, looked up to the bright full moon in awe. "Well, StarClan, we meet again." She glidded across the small river with ease and brought her tail about her as she turned to wait for her Clan to cross as she had done.
Birdwing pushed and shoved his way through the cats on his way to Fourstreams. When he got to the small stream that separated WaterClan Territory from the Island, he easily glided across it with a number of tail lengths to spare. He was very anxious to get going and to see the other Clans.

Brightstar looked up at the full moon, and then back at her Clan. "Let's go," she said, to no one in particular. With that, she jumped over the stream, and meandered across the clearing. She drew in a deep breath, and the air told her what her eyes had already proven- only WaterClan was here yet. With a single bound, she took her place on the Greatrock, and watched the cats mingle below.
"Come on, Reedvoice," Morningdove insisted in her loud, somewhat rude, way. "You may be an elder because of your voice, but you're still as able-bodied as I am." Her brother shot her a look, and jumped across the stream. Once over, he told her something using his sign language. "You think I'm being pushy?" Morningdove asked, miffed. Reedvoice nodded once. "Whatever," the she-cat replied. "Hey, look, there's some WaterClan cats here. Let's go and talk to them." Reedvoice tapped his throat with one paw, meaning, Talk? "Fine, you don't have to talk. Just come on!" Morningdove turned and walked across the clearing, Reedvoice following.
Silverwind leapt across the stream after Birdflight, landing neatly on the other side. She looked around, and purred. "It's been a while since I've come to a Gathering," she murmured to herself. It had been, too. She hadn't been able to come to a Gathering because of her kits- not that she wanted to leave her kits. Wolfstorm had always told her the news, so she didn't worry about missing anything. This Gathering, though, she would be the one telling Wolfstorm the news. He had opted to stay at camp and keep watch tonight.
((Hey Holly- can I bring Windpaw, Deerpaw, and Flowerpaw? Or is it too soon for them to come to a Gathering?))

Haloheart stepped a few paces back on the island that was Waterclan camp, then ran and jumped over while doing a 180 spin-like manuver (sp?) in midair. He smiled awkwardly and walked up near where the other Waterclaners were gathering. He looked normal, but inside Haloheart was beaming with delight. He couldn't wait to tell his brother he made deputy and visit with other out-of-clan friends.
Rainstripe was actually just getting back from a mini fishing excursion (sp?), when she saw her clanmates leaving. ...why would they be leav-...OH, there's a gathering tonight! COOL. She really wanted to sit down and eat the yummy fish, but she just dropped it in the fresh-kill pile and lept over to the other side.

"Yeah...," Birdwing meowed. He looked around the clearing and scented the air. TreeClan had just arrived, and he remembered Lightfoot, the only TreeClan cat he knew as a friend. He sniffed at the air and looked for her through the group of TreeClan cats.
Hollystar nodded her head in greeting to Brightstar. "Good Evening. I sense that something isn't right tonight. Don't you? I don't think Amberstar is doing well as leader..."

Gingerstar looked back at the cats ready to follow and smiled. She led them through the hills and to fourstreams for the gathering. Her first as leader. She walked with confidence and pride and hoped that the other leaders would accept her.
Moonpelt followed his new leader Gingerstar and hoped that everything would go fine.

With a leap and a purr, Lightfoot bounded towards the Gathering place, then paused to look around. It was with unconcealed delight that she saw one of her few friends--Birdpaw. Or, at least, what she thought was Birdpaw, not having heard the news of his warrior ceremony. The warrior happily made her way over to the WaterClan cat, purring a greeting. "Hey, Birdpaw." (Feel free to correct her, Holly.)
It was with confusion that Pigeonstar slowly padded through the Gathering area. It had come as a shock when he found two of his Clanmates dead in the territory. The fact...hadn't really sunk in, he supposed, because the leader didn't feel particularly mad about their deaths--though one of them had been Lightningheart, his deputy. The other was Rainbowtail, who was also a fairly good warrior. He expected the rest of the Clan to feel the sorrow he did not--perhaps even more so because of the lack of reason for their deaths. When he had found them, there were no markings that indicated a fight, and the medicine cat hadn't found any indication of sickness or venom. So what had killed them...? Pigeonstar shook his head to rid himself of these thoughts, and came up to GreatRock, surprise once more registering in his eyes. "I see I'm the last leader here...But where is Amberstar?" He turned to Gingerstar--though he did not yet know that was her name--and asked, "Gingerclaw? Can you explain? Please?" (Crookedtears killed Lightningheart and Rainbowtail. Just 'cuz I wanted to kill them myself. XD)
Jynxivy flicked her tail in greeting to Lightfoot as she came over, then got to her feet and scanned the area. "I'm going to speak to other cat's for once," she announced, then walked over to a group of cats. (Umm...Whoever wants to talk to her can be in that "group of cats".)
The young she-cat apprentice looked around with wide eyes, which quickly turned from their expression of wonder to one of annoyance. "She's not here!" Petalpaw hissed, referring to her sister, who had gone to join HillClan. The TreeClan cat sat down crossly, ears flicking to show her irritation. Leafpaw never came to Gatherings...
(Anyone else you guys want me to bring in? Just name the cat, and they'll (probably) come!)

Gingerstar said to Pigeonstar, "Of course, see StarClan spoke to Rainpelt and told her that Amberstar had left for unknown reasons, and that the new leader would have a name close to hers. She thought about it and called a meeting, and it was decided that my name was closest to Amber so I'm now the new leader of HillClan." she purred at the thought.

He pushed away these thoughts and nodded, whispering, "I'm sure you'll do a fine job leading HillClan, Gingerstar."Still...he couldn't help wondering why Rainpelt had refused the position of leader--not once, but twice now.[/ul]

Gingerstar purred again, "Thank you Pigeonstar, I hope so."
Moonpelt felt somewhat out of place and sat behind his Clan quietly.
Swiftheart padded over to Jynxivy and said, "Hi, my name is Swiftheart and I'm TreeClan's new Medicine cat." She said with a worried look in her eyes and a smile across her muzzle.

"Hi!" Morningdove said, leading her brother over to where Jynxivy and Swiftheart were sitting. "Me and Reedvoice thought that we'd join you and talk... or interpret. Reedvoice relies on me to explain his sign language when he wants to say something, because talking makes his--" Her chatter was cut off by Reedvoice placing his tail over her mouth. Stepping back, Morningdove continued. "So, what's the news from WaterClan?"
Mistypaw had followed Pigeonstar to the clearing, and now bounded off to search for her friends. She soon spotted Birdpaw among the cats, and trotted over. "Hey, Birdpaw!" Her eyes shone with excitement at seeing her friends at another Gathering.
Icefoot leapt over the stream, and paused on the far bank. The chatter was already getting to its usual volume, which meant all four Clans were here. He walked among the cats, looking for some cats to talk to, so he could get some random, and sometimes considered unimportant, Clan news. He paused, seeing two forming groups, and wondered where he should sit.
Brightstar touched Gingerstar lightly with her tail tip. "It's a sad thing when a Clan loses two leaders so quickly... but your Clan is strong, and will manage. I hope you're leadership lasts for many moons to come."

Gingerstar smiled, having a faint sadness in her eyes. "Thank you Brightstar."
Swiftheart smiled and said, "Hello Morningdove and Reedvoice."

Reedvoice swept a front paw over the ground, and nodded slightly. "He means 'Hello, Swiftheart, how are you?'," Morningdove interpreted.

The cross she-cat had been stomping across the area, but stopped as she saw Icefoot. Knowing he was a HillClan warrior, Petalpaw went over to talk to him. "Hi," she greeted, looking slightly anxious. "Er...would you be able to tell me how a HillClan apprentice is doing? Her name is Leafpaw..." [/ul]

(Sorry! XD )
Birdwing was overwelmed with all of his new made friends. "Hi, Lightfoot, hi Mistypaw!" He smiled dumbly at Mistypaw. "And, it's Birdwing now. I'm finally a warrior!" He looked around. He had to tell Pumaheart.
"Oh my," Hollystar mewed. Her prediction had been right. She looked over the edge of the Greatrock down at Rainpelt. I'll have to talk to Rainpelt after the Gathering to get a full explaination.
Rainpelt looked around. She was very nervous, for when the Gathering would begin and Gingerstar would start to explain that she had yet again turned down the leadership of HillClan, she would be very embarrassed; again.
Pumaheart casually jumped over the small stream and entered the mass of cats. Once again, she pawed over to her spot amongst the long grass. It was cool and full of water from the rains, but this time it was more refreshing because the air was warmer. She looked around curiously, but remembered that she didn't really have any friends. Except for that fiesty bunch that I met at the last Gathering... And Birdpaw, of course... Then she wondered if the apprentice had been made a warrior yet. He had been complaining so much about it last moon that she would be surprised if he hadn't made Hollystar make him a warrior.

Gingerstar stared dumbly at Hollystar, but not knowing whether she was accepting the fact that she was the new leader, she decided she would stay quiet and keep to her own business.

"Well," Hollystar meowed. She looked at Brightstar and asked,"How has TreeClan been going?"
